Orchestrating Multi-Object Actions with Script Tables (Class 9)

Class 9 (Script Table) allows the meter to bundle multiple internal actions into a single atomic routine triggered by a single ACTION request.

    Standard Script Objects

    • 0.0.10.0.0.255: Global Meter Reset Scripts
    • 0.0.10.0.1.255: End of Billing Period (Billing Reset / Snapshot Script)
    • 0.0.10.0.100.255: Tariff Switching Scripts

    Billing Snapshot Trigger Example

Executing Script ID 1 on 0.0.10.0.1.255 snapshots all cumulative energy registers (1.0.1.8.0.255 -> 1.0.1.8.1.255), increments the billing counter, and resets the monthly maximum demand register.

Billing snapshot triggers are heavily utilized by HES at midnight on the 1st of every month to guarantee uniform settlement data across all utility customer accounts.

Meter firmware tip: Always ensure scripts execute within an atomic hardware transaction so partial register snapshots never occur if power is interrupted.
