Credit Interface) and Class 68 (Charge Interface) bridge the gap between 20-digit STS prepayment tokens and DLMS/COSEM communications.Workflow
- Consumer inputs 20-digit token via meter keypad or mobile app.
- Meter decodes token using STS cipher algorithm.
- Upon verification, Class 67 updates Attribute 2 (
current_credit_amount). - If credit drops below Attribute 4 (
low_credit_threshold), the meter triggers a warning buzzer and sends an emergency push notification to the utility HES.

Class 67 also tracks
emergency_credit_availableanddebt_recovery_rate, allowing smart meters to deduct arrears automatically during top-ups.
